I should have written this review years ago. Better late than never. Tad is truly an honest guy. Though he may complain sometimes, he really enjoys his work and satisfying his customers. I have known Tad for over 20 years. I have always brought my cars to him, even though I now live about 25 miles away. Here is my story about Tad's honesty, integrity and straight forward advice. In 2010, I brought my 1998 Pontiac Gran Prix to Tad. He had been servicing it since it went out of warrantee. This time the transmission was slipping. Sometimes it wouldn't move at all. The car had 180,000 miles on it. Tad looked it over a said to me, "John, I can fix the transmission for about $1,200 to $1,500 and make a nice profit. But when I am done, you will still have a 12 year old car with 180,000 miles on it. I know this car. I've been servicing it for years. I also know that, with an old car like this, anything can go wrong at any time and probably will. My advice to you is to take the $1,500 and whatever you can get in trade for the Gran Prix and buy a new car." Tad gave up a few hundred dollars in profit to provide customer satisfaction. I took his advice.
